Nora Klagka is a professionally qualified integrative counsellor and supervisor with over 4000 hours of clinical experience. Her practice is built upon a strong foundation of academic and professional expertise, including a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Clinical Supervision and a PhD in Humanities. Nora’s humanistic approach is creative, open and flexible because she believes that just as the context of trauma is individual, so is the process of healing. Her work combines Carl Roger’s Person Centred modality with Gabor Mate’s trauma informed approach.

What does this mean in practice? It means that in sessions with Nora, you will find a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment where you can feel secure exploring your feelings and your past history. Talking about your feelings, reconnecting with yourself and exploring your past history is a very important part of therapy. Nevertheless, sometimes we feel we know well what happened to us, we can identify and explain it, but then why can’t we change it? This is the extra step Nora’s sessions offer: moving beyond identification.

Our traumas are stored in our body and can dictate behaviours that are difficult to shift, leading to frustration and self-blame, whereas what we really need is true understanding and compassion. Nora works non-directively but remains actively supportive throughout the process, helping you compassionately navigate your experiences toward inner calm and empowerment. As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), she abides by a strict ethical framework ensuring professionalism and confidentiality. Nora works with both short- and long-term clients, specialising in self-esteem and identity, relationship issues, and anxiety, and she offers sessions in both English and Greek.
