Nora Klagka - Clinical Supervisor

Nora Klagka is an experienced integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor who holds an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Supervision, a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and a PhD in Humanities. Her background in the Humanities brings a deep understanding of the human story to her work, helping supervisees explore their clients’ personal history within the cultural context. Having worked with a global client base, Nora is particularly skilled in navigating the complexities of cross-cultural therapy and international identity.

Her modality integrates Carl Rogers’ Person- Centred approach with Gabor Maté’s trauma-informed Compassionate Inquiry. Her therapeutic method is creative, open and flexible because she believes that just as the context of trauma is individual, so is the process of healing. Her supervisory work is based on the established Hawkins and Shohet 7-Eyed Model alongside Stoltenberg’s Integrative Developmental Model (IDM). She offers specialist supervisory support for practitioners working with adult relational patterns and the cultivation of healthy self-esteem

Nora offers online supervision for both trainee and qualified counsellors. Her sessions provide a warm and safe environment which fosters empathy, diversity, theoretical expertise and above all, collaboration. For Nora, supervision is a space where practitioners work together to achieve the best clinical results for their clients while feeling supported in their own professional growth. She recognises that while counselling is rewarding, it can often be isolating work. As a member of the BACP, Nora abides by their Ethical Framework, promoting high-calibre conduct and confidentiality. She currently works as a clinical supervisor at The Awareness Centre and in her private practice.
