Nosheen Aslam is a trainee integrative counsellor and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently in her second year of training towards a Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and is seeing clients within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service in Lambeth. Nosheen draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches to support the individual needs and experiences of each client. Her integrative training enables her to work flexibly, tailoring her approach to each person while maintaining a strong foundation in person-centred principles, empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard.

Nosheen believes in creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients can feel comfortable exploring their inner world and developing greater self-awareness. Her sessions offer a calm and thoughtful space where clients can bring whatever feels difficult, confusing, or unresolved. She works at the client’s pace, with sensitivity and curiosity, allowing space for reflection, self-discovery, and meaningful personal change. Nosheen values the therapeutic relationship as an important part of the counselling process and aims to create a space where clients feel genuinely accepted, heard, and valued. Through her integrative approach, she supports clients in exploring their experiences, developing a deeper understanding of themselves, and identifying new ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Alongside her counselling training, Nosheen works in education, supporting young people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health. Her professional background also includes working in the charity sector, where she developed a strong commitment to supporting people from diverse backgrounds and through challenging circumstances. Nosheen was inspired to train as a therapist following her own meaningful experience of therapy, which deepened her appreciation for the healing potential of a safe, supportive, and trusting therapeutic relationship. These experiences continue to inform her compassionate and person-centred approach, as she supports clients in navigating difficulties, building self-awareness, and moving towards greater emotional wellbeing.
