Oleksandra Bryhynets is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment where clients from diverse backgrounds can feel genuinely understood and accepted. She works integratively, combining a range of therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Oleksandra draws on a solution-focused approach to support clients in setting clear, achievable goals, particularly within brief therapy. She also uses Gestalt techniques to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in the present moment, fostering deeper self-understanding. Additionally, she incorporates a person-centred approach, placing emphasis on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine presence to help clients build self-acceptance, confidence, and trust in their own capacity for growth and change.

With a background in high-pressure business environments and personal experience of immigration, Oleksandra brings a deep understanding of how stress can impact mental health and emotional wellbeing. She is dedicated to helping individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, and is particularly interested in supporting clients through significant life transitions, work-related stress, relationship issues and other challenges. Oleksandra offers counselling in English, Russian and Ukrainian, ensuring her services are accessible to a wide range of people seeking meaningful support and positive change.

Oleksandra is an integrative counsellor and a student member of the BACP. She is currently working towards a diploma in integrative counselling and undertaking a counselling placement at The Awareness Centre and Talk Wandsworth. She holds a master’s degree in psychology and is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
