Patrick Rampton
Patrick Rampton is a BACP-registered trainee integrative counsellor currently practising within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service, in Clapham. He is working towards an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and draws on a range of evidence-based approaches to support his clients.
Patrick offers a warm, non-judgemental and emotionally safe space where clients can feel genuinely seen, heard and accepted. He believes that people grow through connection, and that a trusting therapeutic relationship can help us explore painful feelings, longstanding patterns, and the parts of ourselves that are ready for change. His work is collaborative and paced to suit each individual, helping clients gain clarity, develop self-understanding and move towards emotional, psychological and—where appropriate—spiritual wellbeing. As an integrative counsellor, Patrick works flexibly. This may include relational and humanistic approaches, elements of CBT, mindfulness-based practices or transpersonal perspectives. The direction of the work is always chosen together, tailored to each client’s needs and ways of being.
Before becoming a counsellor, Patrick ran a successful business for twenty years. Stepping back from that career allowed him to follow what felt deeply meaningful: supporting people in their struggles and their growth. He has a particular interest in addiction, anxiety, depression and issues around self-esteem, and holds a firm belief in the innate worth, dignity and humanity of every person he works with.
