Priscila Santos
Priscila Santos provides a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions, resources, and conflicts with authenticity. Her approach is collaborative and sensitive to cultural and linguistic diversity. She integrates various theoretical models tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Priscila works based on the principles of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis, incorporating elements of mindfulness, emotional regulation, and psychoeducation when appropriate.
Before entering the counselling field, she worked as a group facilitator and coach. Priscila has developed refined listening skills and a broad perspective on the challenges of the contemporary world. Her career includes significant changes in country, culture and identity, which enriches her understanding of grief, stress, depression and anxiety — topics with which she has the most clinical affinity. In addition to English, she offers services in Portuguese, promoting linguistic accessibility and cultural safety in the therapeutic process.
Priscila is an integrative counsellor and member of the BACP. She currently works in the NHS counselling service in Lambeth through The Awareness Centre and is undergoing advanced training in integrative counselling. Her work is supervised following the ethical standards set by the UK regulatory bodies.
