As an integrative practitioner, Q Yin draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches, with a strong foundation in person-centred principles, existential philosophy and virtue ethics. She recognises that each client brings their own unique experiences, challenges, and ways of making sense of the world, and therefore tailor her approach to meet individual needs. Central to her work is the belief that therapy offers a collaborative space in which clients can reflect on their difficulties, develop new perspectives, and explore what enables them to live more fulfilling, balanced lives. She places emphasis on building a supportive and respectful therapeutic relationship, where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to engage with personal growth and change.

Before training as a counsellor, Q gained experience in mentoring and providing one-to-one mental health support, working with individuals to address academic, professional, and personal challenges. This background has given her insight into the importance of resilience, self-understanding, and meaningful connection, which continue to shape her therapeutic practice. She has a particular interest in how individuals can draw upon their strengths and values to overcome challenges, navigate life transitions, and cultivate greater wellbeing.

Q is an integrative counsellor and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently working within The Awareness Centre with NHS patients in Lambeth, while undertaking training towards an advanced diploma in counselling. Her clinical practice is supported by regular supervision and guided by the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring a safe, professional, and reflective therapeutic environment.
