Ranjan Nardani creates an empathetic and supportive environment where clients feel safe, confident, and comfortable discussing and exploring their problems. She aims to establish a non-judgmental space for clients to express themselves openly and to reduce confusion about their personal experiences. She works to help clients gain a deeper understanding of their concerns. She supports them in making informed decisions about their future, enabling them to lead more fulfilling and satisfying lives. She believes that this greater insight helps in developing effective coping mechanisms to handle challenges and make positive changes. Using an integrative approach, Ranjan may employ Person-Centred and CBT techniques to help clients recognise patterns in their thoughts and behaviours, and utilise psychodynamic methods to explore how past experiences—particularly those from childhood—and unconscious thoughts and feelings influence current behaviour and relationships. She provides tailored therapy to meet the individual needs of each client. Ranjan believes that clients need to be seen and heard, and she is skilled in active listening, emphasising its importance in helping clients voice difficult experiences and concerns.
With a background as a teacher, she believes that her interest and experience in building relationships and a personalised approach are crucial in creating an effective therapeutic relationship. She understands internal and external pressures that people can put on themselves, which can lead to unhelpful and maladaptive coping mechanisms.  She also specialises in anxiety and depression and has a keen interest in the impact of domestic abuse on clients.
Ranjan is an integrative student member with the BACP. She employs person-centred, CBT, and Psychodynamic modalities. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Lambeth counselling service. Ranjan is currently pursuing an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
