Rugile Valackaite-Doci
Rugile Valackaite-Doci takes a relational and holistic approach, with a particular interest in the connection between mind and body, and how early life experiences influence patterns of behaviour and relationships. Rugile offers a warm, non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to explore their inner world with openness and curiosity at their own pace. She believes that therapy is not only a place for processing pain and difficulty, but also a space for growth, self-discovery, and reconnection with one’s inner strengths. As an integrative therapist, Rugile draws on a range of therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. She may incorporate elements of person-centred therapy to foster a strong therapeutic relationship, psychodynamic approaches to explore the influence of past experiences, and somatic awareness to help clients reconnect with their bodies and emotions. Her work is grounded in the belief that lasting change comes from developing greater self-awareness and cultivating a more compassionate relationship with oneself.
With a background in psychology and experience working in people-focused environments, Rugile brings a deep curiosity about human behaviour and emotional experience to her therapeutic work. Her previous roles involved supporting individuals in challenging situations, which developed her ability to listen with empathy and respond with sensitivity. This experience influences her calm, grounded presence in the therapy room.
Rugile Valackaite-Doci is an integrative trainee counsellor working within NHS Counselling Service in Lambeth. She is a Student Member of the BACP and is currently working towards a diploma in integrative counselling. Rugile holds a master’s degree in psychology and brings this academic foundation into her therapeutic work.
