Scarlett Emmanuel-Jones is an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist working with children and adolescents at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. She holds an MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy and is a registered member of the BACP.

Since 2022, Scarlett has worked therapeutically with children, adolescents, and families, as a school-based counsellor in a North London primary school, and in private practice in South East London. Her approach is to meet each child or young person where they are at the point of referral, building a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe space in which they can explore their inner world, difficult thoughts, and feelings at their own pace.

As an integrative psychotherapist, Scarlett draws on a range of approaches, incorporating art and play therapy, such as drawing, painting, or sand tray work, when appropriate to help children make sense of their thoughts and feelings. Her practice is informed by attachment theory, neurobiology, and systemic thinking, with a particular focus on how her clients relate to her, to others, and to the systems around them.

Scarlett has experience working with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, and eating disorders, as well as with issues of difference and diversity. She is deeply committed to understanding and addressing the unique challenges that can arise from cultural and racial differences, tailoring her approach to be sensitive and responsive to each child’s lived experience.

She believes that every child and family is unique, and works collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other key figures to ensure a holistic approach to support. Scarlett recognises the courage it takes to seek help and strives to offer compassion, empathy, and an inclusive environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued.
