Sile Stuttard - Clinical Supervisor

Sile Stuttard is a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, a Systemic Family and Couples Therapist and a Clinical Counselling Supervisor. She trained at LC&CTA, RSPCT, and The Institute of Family Therapy in London. She holds a Post Qualification Diploma in CBT and Sand Tray as well as in Clinical Counselling Supervision for Individuals and Groups. She has also lectured in counselling.

Sile is an Accredited Registered member of BACP. Her multiple disciplinary trainings mean that she works with an Integrative approach, drawing on various creative practice and humanistic theories. Her systemic background also means that she is concerned with difference, diversity, power and social justice and thinking about the influence of the wider context upon intrapsychic and relational processes. She works in the NHS, in the third sector and private practice, with adults, young people, couples and families. She works extensively with neurodivergence and queer people and likes to bring creative ideas into her practice.

As a supervisor, Sile aims to provide supervisees with a safe and supportive environment. She facilitates a collaborative and reciprocal environment and encourages open dialogue, personal development and proficiency. She invites consideration of the theoretical framework that therapists bring to their work. Sile is particularly interested in developing self-reflexivity, and how our own personal histories, cultures and identities influence our understanding and hte conversations we have. She is interested in the unique perspectives each individual brings to the group to promote growth and learning and includes group discussion and reflections on parallel process as part of supervision.
