Simon Roberts believes in creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their true selves. He brings a calm and understanding presence to his practice, focusing on what is most important for the client. Simon believes that every individual holds an innate wisdom and the capacity for growth, and his role is to nurture a safe, accepting environment where this potential can unfold naturally. By using a psychodynamic approach, he helps clients connect with their past to uncover patterns of behaviour that may be affecting their present. This exploration can be a powerful tool in gaining greater self-awareness and promoting change. Simon is passionate about the restorative quality of therapy, where healing occurs through the development of a trusting therapeutic relationship. His goal is to offer the freedom to explore, reflect, and grow in a safe, confidential environment. Simon’s approach is rooted in both Person-Centred and Psychodynamic modalities.

With his experience in the education sector as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) his practice was informed by working with a diverse student and staff base, he also has extensive experience and knowledge of supporting students and staff through anxiety, depression and mental health episodes. Simon has a record of helping neurodiverse students reach their academic potential within a nurturing and safe environment.

Simon is a trainee integrative counsellor working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is a student member of the BACP working in alignment with their ethical code. He currently works in the NHS Talking Therapies Service in Lambeth.
