Sorin aims to provide an empathetic and supportive space where clients can open up and be seen and heard for who they truly are, without judgment. Therapy helps clients process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings and can also work to enhance and bring to life the potential of clients. Sorin works with clients to identify and draw on their inner resources to live a fuller, more satisfying life. Working integratively, Sorin uses a person-centred approach as his guiding framework, and may use existential questions to help clients engage with larger topics, as well as CBT to help identify patterns in their thoughts and behaviours that are not serving their goals or do not align with their values. Sorin’s approach is tailored to each individual client.

Born and raised in Oradea, Romania, Sorin moved to the US for university and lived and worked there for 8 years before making London his home in 2014. He has spent most of his career working in investment analysis, and was also a support worker for victims of modern slavery in London. Sorin has a master’s degree in Social Policy and in Public Policy, has taught economics to undergraduates, and has been heavily involved in his communities, including as a school governor, and mentor and tutor to young people. He ran to become the first Romanian local councillor in the UK. As a result, Sorin understands the challenges of working in roles with high expectations while trying to stay true to and enact one’s values and maintain a healthy balance in life.

Sorin Floti is an integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP. He practices within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Wandsworth service and is currently working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching.
