Tom provides an empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. He believes that counselling not only helps clients process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings, but can also help to show clients their potential. Empowering them to draw on their inner strengths to live fuller, more satisfying lives. Working integrativley, Tom uses different approaches to identify patterns in thoughts and behaviours. He also helps clients explore how past experiences may influence their current challenges. Adjusting each session to his clients needs and encouraging a collaborative path to healing, growth, and self-discovery.

With over 10 years of experience working as a coach, Tom understands the importance of growth and change. The challenges that arise and the fulfillment that follows. Having also spent 10 years being a counselling client, exploring his past and how it has shaped his relationship with himself and others. Tom values helping his clients show a kind curiosity towards themselves. Working through shame and trauma. Learning to connect with themselves, come into contact with their feelings and needs, and work towards living a more authentic life.

Tom Lawman-Butler is an integrative counsellor who is studying for his Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Tom works with clients through The Awareness Centre NHS Wandsworth and is a member of the BACP.
