Carl Barge – Lead Diploma Tutor

Carl Barge is the Lead Tutor for the TAC Diploma in Integrative Counselling. He qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor at Roehampton University (BSc Hons 2006) and later qualified as a Clinical Supervisor. Carl works in private practice in South London.

Carl has had over fifteen years’ experience in managing various counselling training programmes delivering L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, L5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Theory and Skills, and L6 Certificate in Supervision. He provided psychological well-being services within HMP Wandsworth and within the Greater London area.

Carl has extensive experience and a passion to support student counsellors for individual growth at the psychological, cognitive, and moral levels. As a result, students have gone on to become qualified reflective practitioners, developing individual practices, counselling agencies, and activism within their local communities. Carl joined The Awareness Centre Training School in January 2025 as a Lead Tutor.
