Josh Brostoff – Lead Diploma Tutor
Josh Brostoff is a lead tutor for TAC’s Diploma in Integrative Counselling. He is a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist with an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy. His clinical orientation is informed by a strong interest in experiential dynamic psychotherapy, drawing particularly on AEDP and ISTDP. He currently volunteers at a low-cost clinic and with a residential programme supporting men in recovery from addiction.
Prior to retraining as a therapist, Josh worked as a medical doctor in the NHS and abroad, gaining experience across a range of clinical settings. He later transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, where he was involved in early-phase drug development and clinical trials. This background informs his integrative perspective, bringing together medical, psychological, and relational understandings of human wellbeing.
His approach is grounded, relational, and process-oriented. Alongside his clinical work, Josh has a long-standing interest in Family Constellations, meditation, and group process, all of which inform his perspective on healing, learning, and interpersonal dynamics. He brings a reflective, engaged, and experiential style to his teaching, aiming to support students in developing both clinical skill and emotional depth.
