Mandy Wax – Course Supervisor
Mandy Wax is a Course Supervisor for TAC Training School. She trained as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and now works integratively, incorporating aspects of Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Relational modalities. She is a qualified Clinical Supervisor and works in private practice in South East London. Mandy is the Director of Teaching at TAC Training School and one of the Lead Tutors on the Diploma in Counselling. She is also on the Training Committee at the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis in London.
Mandy has many years of experience in both education and psychotherapy. Before training as a therapist she worked as a secondary school teacher, and she now combines her clinical work with teaching and training counsellors. Through her work in private practice and education she has supported people with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties and has developed a strong interest in reflective practice and professional development. Mandy enjoys supervising students and supporting them as they grow in confidence and develop their therapeutic identity.
Mandy’s approach to supervision is integrative. She draws on established supervision models including the Hawkins and McMahon 7 Eyed Model and the Page and Wosket Cyclical Model. Most importantly, she believes her strengths lie in creating an open and explorative space for supervisees to reflect on their practice and their development as a clinician.
