Maryam Samar – Course Supervisor
Maryam Samar is a Course Supervisor for the TAC Diploma in Integrative Counselling course and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Roehampton.
She brings a strong foundation in both academic and clinical practice. Alongside her doctoral studies, Maryam runs a private counselling practice, which enables her to stay closely connected to therapeutic work and bring practical insights into her teaching and supervision.
Maryam also has prior teaching experience, having facilitated clinical groups in academic settings. In this role, she supported students in developing their clinical skills, encouraged reflective practice, and fostered a collaborative learning environment. Her ability to create a safe and supportive space has been central to her approach in both group facilitation and supervision.
Academically, Maryam holds a First-Class Honours BSc in Counselling from the University of East London, an accredited programme with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She has also completed an MSc in Psychology with Distinction.
