Clinical Supervisors

We are recruiting Clinical Supervisors to join The Awareness Centre and support our trainee therapists on placement within our NHS Talking Therapies Services. We welcome applications from supervisors across the UK with diverse lived experiences, cultural backgrounds, identities, and perspectives.

You will provide group supervision twice monthly to trainee therapists working within our NHS Counselling Services. Our NHS placement embraces a solution-focused, evidence-based approach.

All groups are two hours with up to 5 trainees attending; held online on weekdays, either in the morning or the afternoon.

The Awareness Centre adopts an integrative model with many of our trainees covering Existential, Gestalt, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, and Integrative modalities as part of their training and also looking at Petruska Clarkson’s 5-level model.

The supervisor will need experience of working within an NHS Talking Therapies Service, have worked with the IAPTus database, and have experience of working with the PHQ9/GAD7 metrics for Depression and Anxiety symptoms.

You will hold clinical responsibility for adult clients who are seen weekly by placement therapists. The role includes approving discharge letters and GP letters, maintaining clinical supervision records, and completing relevant supervisor reports to support trainees’ training.

Our clinical supervisors are provided with monthly group supervision with our Senior Supervisor, and you will have support from the Director of Clinical Services and the clinical management team.

This is a self-employed role. Fees are £50/hour for supervision, plus £40/mth for admin.
