Alexandra is a trainee integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP. She works within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service, supporting clients on placement as part of their clinical training. Alex is currently working towards an advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

Alexandra provides a warm, non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely met and accepted, drawing on an integrative approach that combines Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis frameworks. She invites clients to explore their issues in a safe and supportive environment. She believes that real change happens through the quality of the relationship between client and counsellor. Alexandra may draw on Gestalt techniques to help clients become more aware of what they are experiencing in the present moment, and on Transactional Analysis to help clients understand patterns in how they relate to others. This integrative stance means that Alexandra’s practice is flexible and responsive, adapting to what each client needs rather than following a single fixed model. Alexandra has trained with a particular interest in anxiety, depression, guilt and shame, and relationship difficulties, and offers therapy in French for clients who feel more comfortable exploring difficult material in their first or a strongly preferred language.

Before training as a counsellor, she worked as a recruiter and later in business operations management, an experience that offers a practical understanding of the pressures people can face in working life. Alexandra also brings a multicultural background, having been raised in France and now living in the UK, which has shaped a particular interest in questions of identity, belonging, and navigating different cultural worlds. This informs her engagement with equality, diversity, and inclusion within the counselling field, and a sensitivity to how difference and adaptation can shape a person’s sense of self. Alexandra brings this same curiosity and care into the therapy room, meeting each client’s story on its own terms.
