Aliia Isaeva
Aliia Isaeva offers a warm, safe, and accepting space where clients often find it easy to open up and be themselves. Her style is warm but honest, and she values building a genuine, trusting relationship with each client. She works in a way that is strongly connected to emotions and lived experience, supporting clients to slow down and notice what is happening for them in the moment. Drawing on Gestalt principles, she pays attention to the here-and-now, body awareness, and the dialogue between therapist and client. She believes that meaningful change often begins with awareness, and gently supports clients in making sense of their feelings, patterns, and inner conflicts.
Aliia has a particular interest in working with relationship difficulties, feelings of guilt and shame, anxiety, and self-criticism. She is especially interested in supporting clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, as well as those navigating the challenges of parenting and everyday pressures. She understands how easy it can be to lose sight of one’s own needs while trying to manage responsibilities and expectations. Aliia offers therapy in both English and Russian, and her approach is grounded in care, openness, and respect, helping clients process their experiences and move forward in a way that feels more balanced and authentic.
Aliia is a trainee integrative counsellor working within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service. She is currently working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and is a registered student member of the BACP. Alongside her integrative training, she brings a strong Gestalt background, which informs her focus on emotional awareness, the present moment, and the therapeutic relationship.
