Anna Kalmar
Anna offers a compassionate, reflective space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and self-acceptance. Rooted in existential psychotherapy and counselling, her approach encourages clients to confront life’s challenges with authenticity and courage. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey that fosters deeper self-awareness and empowers individuals to embrace their unique identities. Drawing on existential principles, she helps clients address patterns of avoidance, cultivate emotional resilience, and navigate life’s uncertainties with a greater sense of purpose.
With a diverse background that spans psychiatric inpatient care, chronic illness support, and end-of-life counselling, Anna brings a broad perspective to her therapeutic work. Her experience has deepened her understanding of the intersection between physical and mental health, allowing her to support clients in managing stress, uncertainty, and emotional regulation.
Anna is a trainee member of Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association and is currently studying for a doctorate course in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. She works in The Awareness Centre’s NHS service in Wandsworth and specialises in working with neurodivergent individuals, anxiety, and life transitions, helping clients develop effective coping strategies and build fulfilling lives.
