Capucine Korenberg is a fourth-year trainee psychotherapist from the Metanoia Institute, offering private practice sessions at The Awareness Centre in Tooting. She works from a person-centred approach, a philosophy based on the belief that everyone possesses the inherent resources and skills to reach their full potential. When these resources are difficult to access, psychotherapy provides a space for clients to find clarity and a path towards healing.

Capucine specialises in supporting individuals who struggle with feelings of not “fitting in” or being “different”.  She is passionate about helping clients discover their unique strengths and build a fulfilling life. With experience in issues like low self-esteem, anxiety and relationship challenges, she also has a particular interest in working with neurodiverse individuals and those navigating the isolation and pain that can sometimes accompany parenting.

Whether you’re dealing with specific challenges such as bereavement or work-related stress, or you simply wish to understand yourself better, Capucine offers a supportive space to explore the root of your difficulties. She works on a short or longer-term basis, providing a skilled and compassionate ear to help you work through painful events.

With over two decades of experience as a scientist at the British Museum, Capucine brings a unique perspective to her psychotherapy work. Her background in heritage science taught her the value of curiosity and the importance of evidence, as well as a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. She applies this same curious and analytical approach to the human experience, blending scientific rigour with compassionate understanding to help clients explore their inner world.

Capucine holds a Certificate in Therapeutic Skills from the Metanoia Institute (2022) and is currently completing her MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy. A trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, she has completed over 300 client hours and has volunteered as a counsellor at Kingston’s Women Centre since 2023.
