Charlotte Allocca
Charlotte Allocca is a qualified integrative counsellor which means she uses a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor support to you. Her practice draws on psychodynamic, person-centred, solution-focused and mindfulness-based therapies depending on what’s right for you. She works entirely at your pace and provides a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.
Charlotte has a fundamental interest in the impact of our mental wellbeing on our ability to live our best lives. Her key abilities include empathy, active listening and strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.Charlotte has worked for the last five years with Cruse Bereavement Care and Shout Crisis Line as well as with the Low Cost Counselling Service at TAC for the last year supporting clients facing a range of personal challenges including loss, anxiety, depression and suicidal feelings. Charlotte is welcoming, compassionate and approachable and is committed to helping clients achieve their goals.
Charlotte works face-to-face on Thursday mornings at the Awareness Centre with adults facing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life-changing events and stages and relationship difficulties. Most significantly she has been where you are and if you’re finding life difficult for whatever reason she is here to help you find a way forward.
Charlotte is also trained in Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT or ‘tapping’) a gentle and effective body-based technique which can be incorporated into sessions to reduce emotional distress.
