Charlotte White - Clinical Supervisor

Charlotte White has a MSc in Person Centred Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute. She also has Masters degrees in Human Rights Law (LLM) and Social Work (MA). Charlotte is qualified in mentalisation based therapy, mindfulness for stress reduction, and EMDR. She is currently studying for a PhD at Edinburgh University with a focus on the experience of childlessness. Charlotte is accredited by the BACP. She is also accredited by EMDR Europe and offers EMDR therapy.

Charlotte began her career as a social worker for children with disabilities.  She then worked for the NHS in a Community Mental Health Team as a Senior Social Worker. Charlotte is an Approved Mental Health Professional. After qualifying as a psychotherapist, Charlotte worked as a band 7 Psychotherapist for the NHS at the Bethlem Hospital. Charlotte has also worked for charities for victims of sexual abuse and family estrangement. Charlotte has extensive experience doing group work. She is now in private practice in Edinburgh and offers supervision to students and qualified professionals. Charlotte continues to teach Social Work at Greenwich University.

Charlotte is a supportive, encouraging, and reliable supervisor. She has enormous passion for all types of psychotherapy. She is extremely knowledgeable and up to date in many areas of psychotherapy. Charlotte has specialist training in neurodivergence. She appreciates all the skills and experience trainees, and qualified therapists bring to their work and seeks to develop and nurture these. Charlotte really enjoys working with students and has continued to study throughout her adult life. She believes we all have more to learn.
