  • Relationships

Charmaine is an Integrative Psychotherapist and is also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy.  This means that she integrates various approaches to tailor the therapy to the needs and preferences of the client.  She has a warm and steady presence and provides a space where people can feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings in a way that feels right for them.

Her main interest is in the impact of the early years relationships on the way people behave and relate later in their lives.  She also specialises in grief, and she uses this experience for the exploration of grief related to losses which are not necessarily caused by bereavement e.g. the loss of a relationship or a job.  She is also experienced in working with anger, depression, anxiety, and relational difficulties.  Charmaine’s background in business management means that she can also relate to the pressures of the working environment as well as balancing this with other areas of life such as family.

Charmaine is a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Tooting.  She also has a private practice in Wimbledon where she offers face to face as well as online therapy.  Her qualifications include a psychology degree and a post-graduate diploma in integrative counselling and psychotherapy.  She continues to develop as a therapist by keeping up to date with the latest research and courses.  She is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
