Ciara Corcoran
Ciara Corcoran is completing a Master’s in Integrative Psychotherapy and is a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently working towards her professional accreditation within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling services in Clapham. With a foundation in integrative approaches, Ciara tailors her therapeutic work to the individual needs of each client, drawing on a range of modalities to provide holistic support and promote lasting change.
Ciara has a particular interest in both person-centred and psychodynamic therapy, believing that the therapeutic relationship itself is the foundation of meaningful change. She offers a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and works alongside clients to help them gain insight into their feelings and behaviours, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and empowerment. By integrating different therapeutic techniques, she supports clients in uncovering patterns and developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.
With a background in nursing, Ciara is deeply attuned to the connection between mind and body. She is particularly interested in how emotional struggles can manifest physically and how addressing both aspects can lead to deeper healing and well-being. She takes a holistic approach, helping clients understand the underlying causes of distress and supporting them in developing healthier coping strategies. Ciara’s practice is centred on building a strong therapeutic relationship, where clients feel truly seen and heard, allowing them to move toward greater self-acceptance, balance, and emotional well-being.
