Colin Chapman
Colin Chapman is an integrative counsellor in training and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working towards a diploma in integrative counselling. He currently sees NHS clients in Lambeth.
Colin offers a warm, empathetic and confidential space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgement. His integrative approach draws on a range of therapeutic models and is rooted in person-centred principles, valuing each client’s inherent capacity for growth. Recognising the realities of time-limited therapy, particularly within an NHS setting, he helps clients identify and work towards meaningful goals, often incorporating Solution-Focused techniques. He is particularly committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ clients to navigate questions of identity, build self-esteem and feel more at ease in who they are. Whether exploring patterns in relationships, managing stress and anxiety, or strengthening a sense of self, he tailors the therapeutic process to each individual’s unique needs.
Before training as a counsellor, Colin worked across creative, media, tech and e-commerce sectors, mentoring and leading teams. This experience provides him with a grounded understanding of workplace pressures, career transitions and the challenges of balancing personal and professional life. His background in qualitative research—listening deeply to people’s stories and experiences – closely informs his therapeutic practice, fostering an ability to hold space with curiosity and care. Having worked internationally and written about culture and identity, he brings a sensitive, inclusive perspective to counselling, alongside his own experience of major life transitions. He is also a keen practitioner of breathwork and yoga, which underpins his holistic interest in wellbeing.
