Dhaval Patel
Dhaval Patel is a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist with an MSc in TA Psychotherapy from TA East in London and a Diploma in Couple Counselling. He works with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges, offering a safe, supportive, and reflective space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and patterns without judgment.
Dhaval provides dedicated couples therapy, helping partners navigate conflict, rebuild trust, enhance communication, and strengthen connection. His approach is tailored to each client, blending Transactional Analysis, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practice to support emotional awareness, resilience, and healthier relationships.
Alongside his private practice, he has worked in community counselling settings and completed clinical observation in psychiatry, which has deepened his understanding of complex emotional presentations. He brings this experience to every session, ensuring therapy is not only clinically grounded but also compassionate and relatable. He is a member of UKATA and NCPS and practises in line with their professional and ethical standards. His work is guided by empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each person’s story. He is committed to ongoing professional and personal growth, so he can continue supporting clients individually or as a couple to gain insight, navigate life’s challenges, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. His ethos is based around honesty, care and compassion. He deeply believes in being authentic in practise and he holds great values and integrity in his work. He has worked very closely with all different types of people from all different types of backgrounds and struggles in life and they have worked together to help them fulfil themselves with their needs and their goals.
Dhaval is currently working towards a masters in TA counselling and psychotherapy, training towards becoming a psychotherapist and counsellor and is also registered with BACP and UKCP.
