Elizabeth Tollett is a trainee integrative counsellor practicing online in Wandsworth with NHS Talking Therapies. She is a BACP registered student member and is currently working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling with The Awareness Centre. Elizabeth has experience supporting adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Her integrative approach allows her to draw on a range of therapeutic models to support each client as an individual, while being grounded in the belief that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. Elizabeth works with clients to explore their experiences, develop greater self-understanding, and find ways of responding to life’s challenges with increased awareness and self-compassion.

Elizabeth’s approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a focus on creating a safe and accepting space where clients feel able to explore their thoughts and feelings openly. She understands that beginning therapy can feel daunting, and aims to develop a relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and supported at their own pace. As an integrative counsellor, Elizabeth recognises that each person’s needs and experiences are unique, and she adapts her approach accordingly rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. She believes therapy is not simply about managing symptoms, but about developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, including how our past experiences, beliefs, and relationships can influence the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Through gentle exploration, curiosity, and, where appropriate, supportive challenge, Elizabeth helps clients identify patterns that may no longer serve them and consider new ways of relating to themselves and others.

Alongside her counselling training, Elizabeth has experience in volunteer listening roles, supporting people during times of emotional difficulty and developing the ability to remain calm, present, and compassionate when faced with complex experiences. This has strengthened her understanding of the importance of feeling genuinely listened to and accepted, particularly during periods when life can feel overwhelming or uncertain. Elizabeth is particularly interested in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem difficulties, grief, relationship challenges, and major life changes. She brings a steady, empathetic, and non-judgemental presence to her work, helping clients make sense of their experiences and explore changes that feel meaningful, achievable, and aligned with the life they want to create.
