Julia Harries is a psychology graduate and qualified integrative counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychologists (BACP) and a certified online counsellor working with clients over the age of 18 years face to face at The Awareness Centre in Tooting.

Julia helps clients work through current challenges, previous trauma and future anxieties using a blend of established therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs. The safe, non-judgmental and confidential space that Julia provides enables people to sit with and explore feelings, situations and experiences that are creating emotional, relational and behavioural discomfort and difficulties. Sometimes clients might be very aware of the reasons for the way they are feeling and come to therapy with clear goals. For others, counselling can help to uncover and shed light on factors, thought patterns and experiences that may be relevant and significant. Julia’s clients find that gaining insights, and reflecting on these, can help make sense of what is going on for them, bringing resolution and help to identify and practice strategies and techniques that they can take forward, beyond the counselling room.

Having spent more than 20 years in intense corporate environments Julia is familiar with the stresses of high pressure, competition, confidence and work-related anxiety. She is also experienced in helping clients experiencing many other forms of anxiety, depression and low mood, lack of motivation and self-doubt, childhood and adult trauma, illness and bereavement and relationship issues.
