Kara Rosenberg offers a warm, empathetic, and collaborative therapeutic experience. She works integratively, drawing influence primarily from Person-Centred and Gestalt modalities. She believes that the genuineness and strength of the relationship between therapist and client are fundamental, and she strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings openly. Kara values working in a way that encourages self-exploration, growth, and healing, and she tailors her approach to each client to ensure the work remains responsive to their individual needs and goals.

Before training as a therapist, Kara built an international career as a management consultant in the financial services sector, working across Europe, the UK, and the US. This experience gave her valuable insight into managing stress, navigating transitions, and operating in multicultural environments, all of which now inform her therapeutic work. In addition, Kara undertook a volunteer counselling role in Brixton prison, which deepened her motivation to become a therapist. There, she gained experience in supporting clients facing a range of mental health challenges, including addiction, abuse, and personality disorders. Kara has a particular interest in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perinatal mental health challenges, addiction and personality disorders. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients to develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others, and to find greater fulfilment in their lives. Kara also speaks French and Italian.

Kara is a trainee counsellor and psychologist working within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service. She is a registered member of both the BACP and BPS, and is currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and an MSc in Psychology. Kara originally studied Business Administration, earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and worked for several years as a management consultant before transitioning to a career in counselling and psychology.
