Mish Abadoo
Mish Abadoo is a trainee integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and completing her clinical placement as part of her training. Mish offers online counselling for adults and young adults who may be experiencing emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or feeling stuck. Her integrative training allows her to draw from different therapeutic approaches while recognising the importance of adapting therapy to each individual client and their unique experiences.
Mish provides a warm, empathic, and supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and accepted without fear of judgement. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change and uses Person-Centred Therapy to create a genuine connection built on empathy, acceptance, and understanding. She may draw on Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients recognise their strengths, explore their goals, and identify steps towards positive change. She may also draw on elements of Transactional Analysis (TA) to support clients in developing greater self-awareness and exploring patterns in their relationships and communication. Mish’s approach is collaborative and tailored to the individual, recognising that every client’s experiences, needs, and goals are different. She believes therapy is not about providing quick answers, but about creating a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for them.
With a background as an English teacher and mentor, Mish has experience supporting people through different challenges and stages of personal development. She understands that life can bring unexpected changes, struggles, and pressures that can sometimes feel too heavy to carry alone. She believes that having a safe and supportive space to be heard and understood can help clients gain clarity, develop coping tools, and move towards meaningful change. As a Christian, Mish has an interest in exploring spiritual matters where this is important and welcomed by the client. She supports clients experiencing stress, anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and health struggles. Through a compassionate and non-judgemental approach, Mish aims to help clients feel less alone as they navigate difficult periods of life and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
