Olena Tertyshnyk
Olena Tertyshnyk is a qualified therapist and psychoanalyst who works more than 12 years with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and addiction. She trained in Clinical Psychology at Université Nice Sophia Antipolis in France, specializing in therapeutic mediation through art. She helps clients understand why they feel and behave the way they do, exploring the patterns and past experiences that shape their emotional lives. Her approach is warm, gentle, and focused on creating a safe space where you can talk about difficult feelings without judgment and begin to make sense of experiences that feel overwhelming or confusing.
Olena works with people dealing with trauma, recovering from abusive relationships, and healing from emotional wounds that affect how they relate to themselves and others. If you struggle with addiction, whether it’s alcohol, drugs, co-dependency, overworking, or other compulsive behaviours, she helps you understand what drives these patterns and supports you in building healthier ways of coping. She works with anxiety and depression not just as problems to fix, but as signals pointing to deeper struggles that need attention and care.
Olena also supports women going through major life changes such as perimenopause, fertility challenges, burnout, identity questions, and the stress of living between cultures or countries. She has experience working alongside psychiatrists when clients have complex mental health needs, like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. Additionally, if you’re neurodiverse, Olena understands how this shapes your emotional world, relationships, and sense of self.
Olena speaks English, Ukrainian, and French, and deeply understands what it’s like to navigate life across different languages, countries, and cultures. If you’ve experienced migration, feel caught between identities, or struggle with belonging, she gets it. Her international experience across Ukraine, France, and the UK means she can relate to the unique challenges of building a life far from home.
Alongside one-to-one therapy, Olena runs women’s support groups focused on healing, building resilience, and personal growth. Whether you come for help with a specific problem or feel generally lost and stuck, Olena’s work is about more than just feeling better, it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, changing patterns that no longer serve you, and reconnecting with your strength. She’s here to walk alongside you through whatever you’re facing, at your own pace, with compassion and without judgment.
