Pardis Rezvani
Pardis Rezvani is a trainee integrative practitioner currently completing a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. She has previously completed an undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology, as well as two master’s degrees: one in Psychology and one in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health. She works within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Clapham and is a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
She provides a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported in exploring their feelings and working towards their goals. She understands the courage it takes to engage in therapy and approaches her clients with empathy and sensitivity. She works collaboratively with clients to uncover the roots of their difficulties, recognising how past experiences shape present struggles. She adopts a dynamic and flexible approach, integrating techniques from psychodynamic, person-centred, and cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT) to suit each client’s unique needs. Her focus is on helping clients develop self-awareness, gain new perspectives, and build the resilience needed to navigate life’s complexities.
Her therapeutic philosophy is grounded in the belief that every individual possesses an innate capacity for healing and growth, as well as the potential to live a fulfilling and authentic life. Drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT approaches, she works to support and facilitate this natural self-healing process. She brings seven years of experience working within mental health settings, where she has supported a diverse range of clients experiencing eating disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD). This experience has deepened her understanding of the complexities of psychological distress and strengthened her commitment to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed, and individualised care.
As an international practitioner with extensive experience living and working in diverse cultural contexts, she brings an understanding of cultural values, traditions, and challenges that may influence clients’ experiences and mental health journeys. She is dedicated to supporting her clients with empathy and compassion, standing beside them as they work through challenges and move toward healing.
