Shae (they/them) provides an open-minded, empathetic and supportive space to listen and explore what is going on for clients and empower them to accept and understand themselves, regardless of how they live their lives. Using pluralistic approaches  (various collaborative methods that suit the client) and person-centred approaches (where we carefully uncover the client’s current perceptions of the world and how they can relate to their own self growth), Shae will approach you with acceptance, compassion and real-ness – helping you celebrate yourself, but also sit with you in those dark places with any difficult feelings that come up. Shae will adapt to your specific needs, hear you and help you help yourself.

Shae is non-binary, trans and queer, and has over 8 years experience in the LGBTQIA+ and sex positive communities. Inclusion and intersectionality is a core to their values and they believe everyone should have access to therapeutic services that they need no matter what. Shae has experience in sexual, gender and identity exploration and also helps clients explore issues with anxiety, depression, various relationships styles, abuse, self-harm, trauma, suicidal thoughts, loss, self-esteem and stress.

Shae is a counselor currently training to become a therapist who specialises in working with Gender, Sex & Relationship Diversities (GSRD) and clinical sexology. Shae is a member of College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and abides by their professional standards policies.
