Sian Doyle is approaching the completion of her Accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling.  She is registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and works with integrity and confidentiality in accordance with their Ethical Framework. Sian works with adult clients, accompanying them as they journey towards finding a manageable approach to maintaining balanced life choices, and towards reaching a better understanding and acceptance of themselves. Sian works at The Awareness Centre in Clapham.

Sian uses kindness, empathy, insight and warmth to travel alongside her clients in a supportive and non-judgmental way, and only ever in service of their needs. It is her fundamental belief that each and every client is already an expert in themselves and their lived experiences, and that there can be great healing when they are able to explore their uniqueness within the safe framework of a therapeutic space. In this exploration, Sian’s wish is that each client will arrive at a better awareness and understanding of all that it means to be themselves. She firmly believes that the counsellor/client relationship underpins the nature of this work, being a unique professional relationship which can allow every client to work comfortably and safely, with boundaries in place which are based upon respect, confidentiality and trust.

With a previous career as a city lawyer, Sian has first-hand experience of working professionally in high pressured environments, and she understands how difficult it may be at times to establish and maintain a healthy balance between work, family and life commitments.  Her multi-disciplinary counselling training, and her own therapeutic journey, enable her to draw upon a variety of tools and knowledge to support her clients as they make sense of their own present situations and challenges.  Her intention is to help her clients to discover a compassionate way to navigate their here-and-now.  This might include reaching a better awareness of their coping mechanisms, thought patterns, and their ways of relating to themselves and to others.  The therapeutic journey, always carried out at the client’s pace and with the utmost sensitivity, may also involve an exploration of their past.  Sian has wide clinical experience as a counsellor, with focus in a range of areas including anxiety, depression, relationships and life transitions.
