Siata Marfois an Integrative Counsellor and Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). She holds a Diploma in Counselling and is working towards an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. Siata creates a safe and trusting environment for clients, drawing on a range of counselling approaches so that each client receives counselling which is appropriate to their needs. She focuses on the therapeutic relationship and listening carefully and empathically so that she understands the client’s issues enabling her to work together with the client to gain insight and increase awareness. This new and increasing awareness will help the client to address their issues and challenges both in the therapeutic setting and more importantly can be effectively applied to the client’s experience of everyday living.
Siata has over 15 years work experience in senior roles in a range of corporate settings including social housing management, financial services and energy market regulation as well as management consulting. She has led teams and worked with a diverse range of people of all ages and social backgrounds. Siata has experience of working on a range of issues with clients in therapeutic settings and has an interest in relationship and attachment theory and practice, bereavement and loss, stress, anxiety, self-defeating behaviours, development, motivation, creativity anger, frustration and personal growth. Siata is also a qualified hypnotherapist and a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society.
Siata works with Lambeth NHS clients using an integrative approach. She believes each client is unique with the potential to benefit from counselling in a therapeutic setting which is supportive and enables the client to face their fears and challenges in the real world.
