Talia Barnaby
As an integrative counsellor, Talia Barnaby draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred and psychodynamic modalities, to tailor her work to the individual needs and experiences of each client. She believes in creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their inner worlds and gaining greater self-awareness. Her approach encourages clients to develop insight, resilience, and the ability to navigate life’s challenges.
Before beginning her counselling training, Talia worked extensively as a technical support analyst in customer-facing and troubleshooting roles. This professional background enhanced her communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and active listening, qualities that have naturally transferred into her counselling practice. Additionally, Talia brings a personal understanding of chronic illness, which has deepened her empathy and sensitivity towards clients who face ongoing health challenges that may be invisible to others.
Talia Barnaby is an integrative counsellor in training, currently working towards her Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling. She is a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and strictly adheres to their ethical framework and professional standards. Talia is presently on placement within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Service in Lambeth.
