Toni Wilkey
Toni’s approach to counselling and psychotherapy is integrative, particularly drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and existential theory. It is important to her to ensure that clients have a space to feel seen, heard and understood. This is facilitated by creating an authentic relationship with clients to allow them to truly express their thoughts and feelings. In doing so, clients can be creative in exploring life’s challenges and what may support them in improving their wellbeing holistically.
Toni has an extensive background in mental health and teaching. She is currently working as a Strategic Service Lead for a NHS service in Camden. Alongside this, she works as a Board Advisor for a social enterprise and a part-time tutor. This has cultivated a passion for understanding individual’s unique experiences and what is available to them to sustain their wellbeing or work towards their own goals. She has a special interest in trauma, relational and familial issues and self-esteem problems.
Toni Wilkey is a trainee integrative counsellor and is working towards a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology & Psychotherapy. She is registered with the BPS, UKCP & HCPC. She works within the The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service.
