  • Anxiety

  • Self-Esteem
  • Guilt & Shame

  • Depression

Demetris provides a safe therapeutic space in which you can explore various facets of your life, and in which you can experience feeling seen and heard. Currently training in Existential Psychotherapy, he intends to approach your experiences with compassion, curiosity and openness, meeting you wherever you are in your unique journey.

Part of the therapeutic exploration involves examining the relationships you have with yourself, with significant others, with the past, and the way with which you navigate life’s limitations. Demetris believes that gaining a deeper insight into these areas within a relational context, can help with illuminating new possibilities and beginning to create meaningful changes to one’s life. Although his therapeutic approach is primarily informed by Existential Philosophy and Phenomenology, Demetris also integrates principles from Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural therapies. This is in order to create a bespoke approach that is flexible and responsive to the clients’ needs, and that considers the context within which challenges and distress arise.

Demetris has worked across various Community Mental Health Services in which he has supported individuals with various mental health challenges. He also has experience of working within the NHS, and he currently facilitates peer support group spaces for Anxiety and Depression. Demetris is currently working towards a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, and is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA). He currently works within The Awareness Centre and NHS Lambeth Therapies.
