Valentina Stamouli is a counsellor who understands how challenging it can be to reach out for help and values the courage it takes to start therapy. Her approach to counselling is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic methods to meet each client’s unique needs in a holistic way. Grounded in a person-centred approach, Valentina offers a warm, non-judgmental and confidential environment, where clients can feel safe to explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences at their own pace. She uses experiential interventions that encourage clients to notice their feelings and physical sensations in the present moment. She helps clients better understand themselves, recognise unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to others. Valentina supports clients in strengthening resilience and finding effective practical ways and coping strategies for everyday life. She believes therapy is not just about managing emotional distress, but also about personal growth, self-awareness, and improving overall well-being. Valentina values building a trustful therapeutic relationship where each client feels seen, heard, understood and respected.

Valentina has a doctorate in biochemistry and extensive healthcare experience with diverse age groups and cultures. She also holds certificates in counselling skills and studies. In addition, Valentina volunteers with a leading mental health charity offering empathetic listening and emotional support to those experiencing anxiety, depression, loneliness, or relationship challenges at home or work. She has a special interest in supporting people with self-esteem issues, bereavement, loss, and feelings of guilt or shame. Valentina brings a calm, relaxed, and helpful presence, walking beside her clients with compassion and commitment throughout their healing journey.

Valentina is a counsellor in training and works towards her Diploma in Integrative Counselling.  She is a member of the BACP and provides counselling to NHS patients in Lambeth.
