Susan Eccles is a course supervisor for the TAC Diploma in Integrative Counselling. She qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor at Metanoia (Dip.Counsl.) in 1993 and in 2007 qualified as a Certified Transactional Analysis. In 2012, she was endorsed as a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst.
Susan initially worked as a counselling tutor at Kent College, the Tunbridge Wells Counselling centre, Wealden College and then at the University of Kent at Canterbury from 1997 to 2012 as a tutor on the university’s counselling course and also on its TA101 course until the programme was closed in 2012.
Susan has maintained a private practice since she qualified as counsellor in 1993 and in addition to seeing private clients both long term and short term has worked for a number of EAP services over the years including Bupa, and Axa. These all involve working within a three cornered contract.
Susan has supervised counsellors and trainee CTA therapists working towards their exams. She very much enjoys mentoring students and has marked a number of written CTA exams over the last ten years. Her passion is helping people learn, gain confidence in their work and in line with Carl Roger’s philosophy to be the best they can be.
