The Academic Coordinator is part of the team of Academic Coordinators who support the smooth operations and running of The Awareness Centre Training School. The Academic Coordinator assists with interviewing applicants for the Foundation Certificate in Counselling and auditing the Diploma in Integrative Counselling. This is an office based role.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Guiding students through application, interview and enrolment
- Assisting with interviewing applicants for the Foundation Certificate in Counselling
- Sending out offer letters and training agreements
- Assisting with keeping student data updated on the CRM
- Assisting with the auditing of the Diploma in Integrative Counselling; handling the submission and return of course assignments, course attendance and final sign off for students to be awarded certification.
- Assisting with the onboarding of Tutors and Supervisors
- Assisting with keeping Tutors’ and Course Supervisors’ profiles and data updated on the CRM
- Assisting with the updating of all course information on the website including dates, fees and workshop dates
- Assisting with the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Assisting with venue and room bookings for all courses
- Assisting with the updating of course materials for new cohorts
- Assisting with the updating of departmental handbooks and student handbooks
- Assisting with the updating of the TAC Training School shared drive
- Answering queries by email and phone in a timely manner
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- Qualified counsellor/psychotherapist or counselling psychologist (UKCP, BACP or BPS membership or accreditation)
- Previous experience working as a coordinator or in administration
- Ability to work under pressure and good time management
- Excellent organisation skills, prioritisation skills, ability to multitask and have attention to detail
- Professionalism and a collaborative approach to working
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, email and knowledge of using databases, including CRM and Microsoft 365. This is essential
