Alison O’callaghan approach is integrative, especially drawing on person centred, and Psychodynamic theories  to create a holistic, warm supportive and nurturing environment, essential for healing and personal growth, recognising that everyone is unique. Alison believes change takes place within therapy when there is an authentic connection established between client and counsellor. Alison provides a non-judgment and empathetic environment for her clients to be able to explore, thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and belief systems, and unconscious patterns that may contribute to clients’ current struggles, this will enable her to work closely with her clients, to explore any underlying issues or challenges ,bringing it back to the here and now, that maybe holding them back, feelings of being stuck in the same cycle of thoughts and patterns.

With a background in the creative industry and working within the NHS, Alison has extensive experience of supporting people with huge life decision. She really understands the importance of having the right support system in place for positive change and what an impact it can have on someone life and wellbeing. this experience has strengthened her ability to work with diversity within the UK and international.

Alison is integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working towards level 4 diploma in integrated counselling.  Alison offers a counselling service within the NHS in the London Borough of Wandsworth at The Awareness Centre.
