Anna Davydova works in Humanistic approach that helps deepen individuals’ understanding of themselves, strengthen self-awareness and autonomy and process their experiences and emotions freely, in a non-judgmental, warm, safe, and empathic space. She can help clients identify patterns and behaviours that may be contributing to difficulties they might have, and she works collaboratively to develop strategies for moving forward and making positive changes in a client’s life. She works in a holistic, collaborative, and explorative way, looking at the past, present, future, mind, and body, as she believes these are all ultimately connected and informing one another.

She is genuine, warm, and caring. She works in a relational way, and is interested in how clients relate to themselves, the people in their lives and in the wider world. She believes the therapeutic relationship acts as a microcosm of a client’s outside world which can offer insight and understanding of a client’s relational needs and be used as a vehicle to learn and grow from. She uses a range of therapeutic approaches with clients including Person-Centered Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt.

She decided to train as a therapist after working in the Financial Industry for many years, so has a clear understanding of pressures and stresses it entails and their possible effect on people’s professional, personal lives and their mental health. She works with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-esteem, confidence, loneliness and relational problems. She has a keen interest in yoga, dream work and loves animals. She has been married for over 20 years and has teenage children.

Anna is currently training for MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute. She is a Trainee Member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and abides by their professional code of ethics. Her work is fully supervised. She works within The Awareness Centre’s Low Cost Counselling Service in Clapham.
