Antonia Beamish
Antonia is a genuine therapist, who will work with you on any issue you may have; nothing is too big or too small. She understands the devastating effects loneliness and exhaustion can have on our ability to self-actualise and how past traumas can hold us back. She hopes her natural warmth and empathy will make it easy for you to communicate what you need to and help you to flourish and grow.
Antonia’s background is in the arts, specifically in performing. By virtue of this she has worked in a variety of situations with a lot of different people. She has lived in several different countries, as a child and as an adult, and although she has made an art of fitting in, she has never really felt like she fit until now. She is and has always been fascinated by people and how they communicate. She has been studying different therapeutic theories for some time and is keen to work with individuals, couples, young people and groups. She has undertaken training in several different therapeutic environments and is excited about the endless learning that being a therapist entails. She understands that no two people are the same, our lived experience is different from everyone else’s, but by listening to each other we can try to understand how your experience has made you feel and explore your internal processes.
Antonia is in the final stages of completing her counselling training. She is training as a Person Centred Counsellor and has a special interest in Psychodynamic theory and is working towards becoming an integrated Therapist. Antonia is currently a student member of the BACP and works within The Awareness Centre in Lambeth.
