Claire Lapham
Claire is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who works with both teenagers and adults, offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She is committed to helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their journey toward improved emotional wellbeing.
Claire has a strong background in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). When she is not working in private practice at The Awareness centre, she works for a charity that supports children and young people affected by sexual abuse. She understands how overwhelming these challenges can feel and works sensitively alongside clients to help them process difficult emotions, build resilience, and regain a sense of stability and control.
In addition to her specialist areas, Claire has experience supporting clients with family and relationship difficulties and a wide range of everyday issues such as work stress and low mood. She recognises that life can present complex and sometimes unexpected difficulties, and she tailors her approach to meet each client’s individual needs and goals.
Claire also has a special interest in working with women and young girls who struggle with menstrual disorders such as endometriosis, adenomyosis and PMOS. In addition, Claire supports clients in navigating a wide range of everyday challenges, from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to managing life transitions and improving overall wellbeing.
Claire’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect. She tailors her approach to each individual, working at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate, and supporting clients in developing greater self-awareness, confidence, and healthier ways of coping.
Claire welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is committed to providing inclusive, respectful, and culturally sensitive care.
