Coco greets clients with warmth and empathy, creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Her integrative approach combines Person-Centred, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, and CBT techniques, tailored to meet individual needs. Clients journey with Coco through their emotional landscapes, exploring the past within the context of the present to gain a clearer vision for the future. She appreciates every step forward the client takes, and she wants to support them in their own growth and exploring their potentials.

Coco holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from KCL and an MSc in Clinical Mental Health (Dementia) from UCL. Her academic background has provided her with profound insights into the complexity of human behaviour and its interactions within the world. Experiences from her placement at a memory clinic have equipped her to understand the distinct challenges encountered by dementia patients and their caregivers across various cultures, especially those pertaining to loss and shame.

As a Chinese international student in the UK, she values the multicultural experience and possesses a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals encounter (i.e. Culture conflict, identity confusion, loneliness and guilt). She respects cultural diversity and the varied backgrounds and experiences of each person. Committed to fostering a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment, she ensures that clients of all backgrounds feel valued and understood. She specializes in guilt shame, loss bereavement, anxiety, and depression and open to work with various issues.

As a bilingual counsellor with a humanistic orientation, Coco’s cross-cultural expertise is enriched by her training in both English and Mandarin. She is a member of the BACP, BPS, and is pursuing an advanced diploma in Humanistic integrative counselling. Currently, she provides counselling services to NHS patients in Lambeth.
