Diana Gomez Duque
Life is undoubtedly challenging, however Diana wants you to know that you don’t have to face it alone. She offers a safe, confidential space where individuals are valued, accepted, and truly heard. Diana’s therapeutic approach integrates aspects of Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered theories. She follows the REMA model, which revolves around four fundamental pillars: Relational (sense of belonging), Embodied experiences (I’m worthy), Meaning Making (I matter), and a sense of Agency (I’ll survive).
This stems from her deep understanding of the human need for connection. She believes that we are inherently social beings, but personal issues often lead us to isolate ourselves, hindering our true potential. In her practice she operates within an integrative, relational model that in turn can include a spiritual framework. Diana tailors the therapeutic work in order to meet the unique needs of each client, guiding them to discover, recover, restore their true selves or unlock their full potential, providing the support and guidance they need on their journey to a more fulfilling life.
With a vast experience working in different settings (e.g. engineering, teaching, mentoring and pastoral care); Diana has been able to successfully journey with people that as a result have been empowered to identify healthier ways of facing or managing life. This transformation is the key driver behind her commitment to counselling. Diana’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of issues, including illness, isolation, loneliness, communication difficulties, and workplace challenges.
Diana is presently registered with the BACP body for counsellors and psychotherapists. She is currently in the process of acquiring a BA (Hons) degree in Theology and counselling while working for the NHS at the Awareness Centre in Sutton.
